Our Company makes the following car suspension parts from Polyurethane under the brand-name Tochka Opory:

- Bushings and cushions for lateral stability links (antiroll bar)

- Shock absorber bushings and cushions

- Bushings for control arms, links, shock absorbers and steering racks

- Spring bushings

The Tochka Opory parts have two principal distinctions from other makers:

- The parts are made separate from control arms and steering racks, while genuine parts are often combined with the unit and customer has to overpay when replacing.

- The parts are made of Polyurethane, which is widely used to make parts for heavy-duty operation.

Polyurethane parts can perfectly withstand big loads under harsh usage conditions and will not lose their characteristics for many years.

As a rule, aging of rubber parts is felt after about two or three years of operation regardless of car mileage. The longer a car operation period the more lever plays and poorer handling control. In turn, these cause quick tread wear, irregular braking and back coupling with the steering control. Lost of elasticity and flexibility of rubber parts is resulted in intensive breakdown of other suspension parts: ball bearings, levers and shock absorbers.

Mounting of Tochka Opory polyurethane suspension parts on a car will give a tangible benefit. You will get the best and superior control of handling even in extreme situations.

Principal advantages of Polyurethane parts are as follows:

Efficiency

Polyurethane suspension parts are more efficient for a car operating under hard road conditions

Reliability

Polyurethane parts protect suspension and body safely under maximal loads.

Durability

Resource of Polyurethane parts is 4 to 5 times higher.

Conditions and warranties

All polyurethane suspension parts made by our Company have a warranty period 12 months, without limitation of mileage provided recommendations for the parts installation have been observed.

Recommendations for installation

When installing polyurethane parts with metal fastenings, it is necessary to remove rust and rubber remains. When large worn spots and pockets are present, replace fastening or clean metal parts of rust with fine sand paper and polish them. Paint cleaned spots with fast-drying nitro dye. Remove burrs if present. If significant deviations and damages exist, replace affected parts.

  • Spring bushings: when installing, put a thin layer of grease* on the shackle pin + outer and inner portion of bushing.
  • Antiroll bar bushing: put a thin layer of grease* on the antiroll bar at the seat and on an inner portion of the clamp bracket and bushing.
  • Shock absorber bushing: when installing, put a thin layer of grease* on the spacing collar and inner portion of bushing. The bushing outer surface is not greased.
  • Bushing without outer metal sleeve: when installing, put a thin layer of grease*. Use a taper arbor if not instructed otherwise.
  • Bushing with outer metal sleeve: when installing grease* is not used.
  • Shock absorber bushing with inner metal bushing: when installing, put a thin layer of grease*. Use a taper arbor if not instructed otherwise.
  • Antiroll bar strut bushing (link): when installing grease* is not used.

Grease* - prior to mounting polyurethane parts, if not instructed otherwise, lubricate spots of contact with suspension metal parts using water-resistant grease.

We recommend to use the following water-resistant greases:
  • based on Lithol-24,
  • imported greases of constant-velocity universal ball joint type using lithium thickening soap,
  • copper grease MOLYKOTE CU-7439,
  • silicone lubricating greases MOLYKOTE PG-54, -110,
  • fluoreplast grease FORUM for constant-velocity universal ball joints and bearings.

This will prevent entry of abrasive particles (ground, sand) into deformative clearances at maximal angles of suspension elements operation.

ATTENTION! Technology features and the cast process of polyurethane isomers allow for appearance of small cavities and shrinkage holes on part surfaces. These surface defects are not spoilage and do not affect declared performance data of the parts.

IT IS DISALLOWED to wash polyurethane bushings and bushings with solvents containing acetone, ether, etc.

Return conditions

In case that a warranty event occurs, it is necessary to submit the defected part to us, then we, at your choice and in accordance with the current law, either reimburse money (cash or non-cash payment) or replace the part.
